Well you're all right about Rose. He didn't kill anyone or anything. He didn't cheat or gamble against his team. He gambled for his team. Well you can't cheat to make your team win in the MLB. So I will say he spent his time, he was a great player but there is the example part to be examined. He isn't trying to play anymore but is a player's whole career and actions to be considered when nominating him/her for a hall of fame? It is a culmination of all they did to make themselves outstanding in their career. I am not saying either way, whether or not he should or shouldn't be inducted. It is just a question. And fair is fair. You know?
