The context that Rush said "I hope he fails" was that he hopes he fails at implementing socialism on this country,as do I. No one wants to see people keep struggling, losing houses,losing jobs etc. but the guaranteed outcome for all that comes with socialism will kill the entrepeneurial spirit of this country. And by the way the guaranteed outcome of sociallism is no where near our current stand of living. We have come back from many a recession without resorting to socialist, nanny state policies. If socialism is implemented,the United States WILL fail. I heard the comment live on his show and the way it gets played back in the media makes it sound as though he wants the whole country to fail and that simply isn't the truth.Tax cuts will allow businesses to expand and that would put people back to work. That is a sustainable plan whereas expanding entitlments to cover peoples asses when things go bad, although neccesary ,is not sustainable. When the benefits end it just leaves people broke and disenfranchised.
