Re: What If

What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Romans 3:9-12

The law handed down by Moses, from God, was to give the Jews the knowledge of sin and the need for a savior. No one could live a righteous life without breaking even just one law. For God to be a just God, He has to punish sin across the board. The punishment for sin is death, which each and every one of us deserve, but His love for us abounded in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. That was the only way to cover the sin debt each of us owes. He imputed it upon Himself. It is now left for man to accept Him, repent, turn from their sin and be born into a new life and a relationship with Him that is a free will choice, not forced on us. Sadly, most choose the lure of sin that Satan makes look so good and in many areas, those sins are good....to the flesh, but the wages of sin is death.
