Just so everybody is on the same page.... seems to be some confusion.  By handheld they are referring to a symbol device, it is a large phone (just shy of 1 lb) that runs a windows based OS. With this a tech is able to close work orders and add equipment through technet or ICOMs. they also have a scanner to read bar codes to add or remove equipment for accounts much faster. They retail in the $2000 nieghborhood.
