She didn't stand a chance. Yea 20 30 years ago we didn't need the weapons that might be needed now. Sure criminals have ak-47's. So why shouldn't the law abiding citizens? Why is there so much concern about what gun a law abiding citizen owns? Surely the politicians aren't stupid enough as to think the criminals will just drop their weapons because they pass a law? THEY ARE CRIMINALS AND IT WON'T STOP THEM. No, times have changed and we need to adapt and overcome. Some of you might know that phrase.
You are right Island.....that guy has a common sense head on his shoulders. I don't want the police to show up to take a report on my or my family's hurt or dead bodies. I am ok with them showing up to take a report on a criminal's body from defending my life or my family's lives. But make no mistake, you won't be protected from criminals by the cops. Not because they don't want to, they just aren't there when these types of crimes happen. I know they want to be. It should never be against the law to protect yourself with a weapon at least as good as the one the criminal is going to use.
