I never get tired of hearing "can I get some free cable?" Like they are the first people to ask. I do one of two things. 1) give them three inches of rg-6 without ends on it. or 2) say no problem, can my family move in with you after I get fired? It seems that people only ask this dumbest of all questions when you're trying to work an outage or doing  something else where you really dont want to talk.
