Don't do it. I've worked in Wisconsin and all you get is Service calls for trees in the way. Tons of tall trees and low elevation. Plus, DirecTV is allowing the contractors to backcharge for anything they want. It won't be to long before you get a charge back for every NLOS (No Line of Sight) that you get. DirectSat is just as bad as Mastec. they treat their guys like crap and expect you to like it. Your better off not working.
You said you were in cable, why don't you apply and get on the service side or the maintance side. I drive around in a bucket truck all day and work on the lines, its alot of fun.
