With most companies they have a limit, 250-300 feet. Anything further than that it's time to cut a .500 lateral in. Time to cut a DC in and hang some self support or strand and cable, a down guide for sure on the lift pole. Put a tap as close as you can. Figure your loss requirements, etc. etc...Pays more. Do it according to the standards, always, if possible.
