Re: troops vs MJ

The death of any soul, whoever it may be, is of equal importance. The media coverage it may, or may not, get is really irrelevant in the broader scope of things. Both are men who leave behind grieving family members who suffer the loss. All one does by giving thought on who is getting the most attention, is to give occasion to bitterness in their heart. After all, there is much more important matters to consider than this. Why be bothered with that which you can not change? Shouldn't one be more concerned with that which can be changed, and determine how to act on it? To me death is a time of grieving, giving a shoulder to cry on for those who suffer the sorrow of the loss, examining the condition of our own souls and where we stand should the next moment be our last. Granted, the media does some strange and disturbing things, but it goes right along with the lost and dying world we live in. We are in the world, but do not have to be of the world. I say focus our energy on more important matters and not give too much thought on the matters that......well.....really don't matter. Focus on serving God and there will be no time to be concerned with who is or isn't getting media coverage.
