The slowdowns in this business happens every 7 to 10 years, this time around is a little worse than the last couple. The ones that are "career" cable dogs will hunt and scratch to keep a roof and food, while the ones that are new or just in it for a quick buck move on to other things ( I understand there are some oldtimers that are fed up and moving on, I wish them luck ), When the technologies change again, 1ghz upgrades or fttp the ones that hang tough will be in a good position. Whether they decide to try and wait out the storm or bail out, it's going to be a rough few years ahead.
