man in Phoenix they were a way of life. They are very timid and don't like people and will run if they can....they usually take up residents inside of places with a web outside and come out and sit in it at night. In the day they go into whatever they made their web on. Like storage closets or old cars or, as in your case, peds. They are great for catching bugs around the outside of the house....only problem is that they will have babies and I just can't have them looking for a place to live. Brown recluse are more scary and the hobo which is often confused with the brown recluse.
