You know, I never leave the house at 6 am in an unkept state. I do arrive back home at 8 pm in that state though, and go back out around 11 pm to fix something that cant be fixed by an inhouse guy(who by the way must be able to do my job better as he is wearing a nice set of khakis and a pressed shirt) in the same unkept state. Yes, I have a perpetual 60 hour shadow of a shave, my truck is in need of a bath, and I cuss more than the whole 9th fleet. I drink like a fish on my time and I dont have a problem telling someone to get their head out of their arse or my way. But let me tell you, I guess you are right, I must not have what it takes to get a contract or have the right connections in this industry. If I remember it correctly, you usually get paid what you are worth as a contractor, that means you work to get paid, not send others out to work so you get paid. I have never met a successful contractor (whom I would respect) that wasnt willing to jump in in a pinch and pull a lasher, or roll out of bed to correct an outage. I guess the old days are gone and I will go get fitted for a new suit and shoes so I can get a "contract"
