Where is PETA now?

Where is PETA? Where is the outrage? We simply can't have jets hitting birds anymore. It is wrong for jets to be flying fast, taking those lousy humans to places and hitting poor defenseless birds. Ohhh the humanity. lol

NEW YORK — An American Airlines flight from Miami landed safely at New York's LaGuardia Airport Tuesday after reporting a bird strike.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Arlene Salac said a bird strike was reported by Flight 1256 at 900 feet shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday.

After landing safely, the inbound Boeing 737-800 was taxiing when it reported trouble with the nose gear and had to be towed to the gate.

The bird hit the landing gear, according to American Airlines spokesman Tim Smith. He said the 135 passengers were not aware of any trouble and disembarked normally.

Planes hit birds every day in the U.S. A bird strike was responsible for the dramatic landing of a jetliner in the Hudson River last winter. All aboard survived.
