We need single payer healthcare why exactly, so it can be run like medicare which is in such bad shape that it will be insolvent in less than 10 years. There are a growing number of doctors who will not take medicare because the reimbursement rate doesn't cover actual costs to treat. So that whole theory of ' you can keep your own doctor ' may not be quite true. And if passed as proposed you will end up with fewer doctors nad hospital, so in the end, even though the libs deny it, there will be longer waits to see doctors especially specialists. Why do people wish to believe that the government can effectively run a program of this size? Why would anyone believe that the pols are not as greedy and corrupt as the CEO's? Did you not find it funny that when Obama was asked if he would put his own family on Obama Care he tapped danced around it instead giving it a resounding YES.
And as for the other point, those people from Goldman Sacks and all the rest of the CEO's of Wall Street for that matter, give much more heavily to lib/dem candidates and causes. But the media perpetuates the myth that dems are for the little guy or the common man. It is bullshit. The vast majority of politicians could care less about any of us. Their number one concern is themselves. Any one who gives blind allegence to a party is fooling themselves. All of the mess we are in now is the climax of over twenty years of stupidity in DC, so why would anyone wish to believe a damn thing they say they are going to do. Prove it. And they can't, the announcement of health care last week was how they tried to give themselves cover to try and sneak cap and trade through. Politicians are like cock roaches, shine a light on what they are doing and they scatter, and it is because they know what they are doing is not the best thing for the country, it is only good for their personnal power and wealth.
And lastly, you really believe the dems care about you? Do you really believe cap and trade is going to save the world and that the money sucked out of the economy is just a byproduct that won't be used to make the federal government more omnipresent in our daily lives. If anyone does, it is a sad sad day.
