It doesn't fit into the liberal's agenda of "clean energy" which is ok but we could get oil much quicker now while we are working on cleaner energy and save a ton of money. But can't have that can we? The environmentalists forget that extracting oil is much safer now and they still go to the 60's models to argue their case. The caribou in Alaska stay around the pipeline because there is food there. Their population has grown to the point that up there one can shoot 5 in a season now. The Porcupine herd in ANWR calve on the Canadian side in their oil fields now because there is food there. They use to calve in Alaska. ANWR is not a "pristine wilderness". I have been there. It is Discovery Channel up there. And in the 2 months that you do get summer the bugs will eat you for snack. The area they would like to drill would be the size of a postage stamp on a football field....That is in ANWR only and not the state of Alaska. It is all a game and they are lying to us to get our money.......They are going to lie this country into poverty.
