I have actually never worked for a company where you had to buy your own materials. But obviously you will have to shop around and try to find good quality material as cheap as possible. I see alot of stuff on EBAY as far as connectors, clips, rg6 cable. I would look at it as worse case scenerio and act as if you are going to use a certain amount of material at each job. I mean, remember, most houses these days are somewhat wired. And by now there must be a good percent of houses that already have dishes on them too. I never did satalite because I actually rode with a guy one day and we went to 4 jobs and we only did one. He would check LOS and tell the customers they had to cut down trees or pay for trenching. Drove all over the place wasting gas. Obviously people make money installing dish but that was my experience that I had. So maybe he was just a hack.
