It is hard to say without actually experiencing it. I do know I would turn to God for the comfort I needed to get through the grieving process. Read the book of Job if you want to what another man did during his trial. He lost EVERYTHING, his family, his home, his animals, then was stricken with boils from head to toe. I do know God has a purpose for each and every one of us, but without knowing Him and developing a personal relationship with Him, you'll not discover what that is. I know in my case, I needed to know whether there even was a purpose, and if God was real. I knew we just didn't pop into the scene, so design and creation was the only answer that holds any water. After being presented with the Gospel, I had a choice to make. A VERY serious choice with major consequences, so it only made sense to thoroughly research the matter and make an educated decision, not one made by my emotions over how my personal life has panned out, but what the evidence that surfaced during that research told me. What do you have to lose by at least educating yourself? I know what you have to lose by NOT educating yourself, and that is your soul to an eternal damnation. God bless you Dan. I truly hope you find the answers to your questions and that God opens the eyes of your heart, that you may see Him for what He is and can do in your life.
