Do the kids deliver mail, work for the IRS, CIA..... Working for the US government covers a lot of area and most wouldnt have much useful information to pass along. As far the Iranian government worker, I figure it is something mundane as well, if at all. I dont believe spies tell their neighbors "Hey Bob, did you know I am a spy for Iran. Hey, my boys just got government jobs and are feeding me a shit ton of top secret info".
Here is what our government has overseas.
