Micro-X MDR-2850 problems

I am trying to get 10 micro-x fta receivers hooked up to some injection system for a building I am working at. Only one reciever has a card and card reader. However, I was receiving other channels on the other receivers, but the master receiver went out. I have set up the master box. All 10 receivers are linked with a 232 cable. Does this cable automatically setup channels or do I need to have a channel editor for each receiver to have the same channel plan?
