The Yaqui indians call it "devils weed" I ate some, with some friends, back in my younger, stupider days, and though it didn't kill us, we most definitely tripped very hard and couldn't read anything for several days. Didn't go blind, but we couldn't focus on anything up close as far as reading went. Stuff grows wild all over southern Cali. I read about it, years later, in a book by Carlos Castaneda called, "The Yaqui Way Of Life" or something like that. Found out that if you don't wash the seeds first, you can end up with stricknine (not quite sure on the spelling of that) poisoning. Definitely want to stay away from the stuff. I did, after learning the hard way. You know what they say though, "If your gonna be stupid, you'd better be tough"
