Been doing a gig lately making a few beans, servicing the June 12 transition. Running into a few problems in some places that used to have great analogue reception.
I live near a really hilly area. While Analogue bounced off the atmosphere, how much more important is LOS now and Terrestrial Interference? I used to bounce microwave CATV off of lakes to clear the treeline or other overhead structers, for instance.
The channel assignments here seem to vary in great degree in given strength of reception, almost door to door with the same YAGI or Omni. There a lot of variables, I know. Also havent seen much change using a smart antenna either. Any Ideas?
