Re: doesn't matter who it is.

This just goes to show, politicians are more worried about relection than the citizens. The stimulus is a joke, the vast majority of it has not even been put to use yet, most is scheduled for next year which is, big shocker here, an election year.

And the ability of the government to reduce the deficit to levels at the end of Bush's term is all based on a theoretical come back of the economy by the end of this year. It is all a wag, wild ass guess, and as we have seen in the past the government always guesses correctly. The pols are gambling our futures that things will happen on their timelines and are putting the country between a rock and hard place if there any hiccups along the way. This is an all in bet that is precarious at best.

Congress needs to look in the mirror. The answer to why there is such a large deficit will be staring him or her in the face. It is them. The budget is not out of wack because taxes aren't high enough, it is because they spend to much period.

I know I have been running my mouth these last couple of days, I have been speaking with some one who is politically connected and what he was showing me has the crap scared out of me. We are literally in a fight for our collective survival and these clowns are taking polls to see what color tie they should wear tomorrow. I would feel safer with my toddler running the country then the collective group of esteemed congressmen and senators.
