Problem is, you do not see the Pope standing in Rome telling the faithful that it is Gods will to go out and kill all of those who do not follow the new testement do you. Don't see many rabbi's saying it about the Torah either. These muslim clerics are using their religion to gain worldly power for themselves, plain and simple. Notice you dont see the ayatollah straping on a C-4 vest and getting on a bus do you. But yet our government wants to let Omar walk by airport security but strip search grandma because you can't offend the muslim because that would be politically incorrect. This is sheer lunacy. If the main security threat is middle east born or recently visited muslims, why does that warrant closer scrutiny. We did not make these idiots defile their religion, so why do we wish to stand here with our chin out asking to knocked out?

So why are so many on the left saying we are getting what we deserve, why cant they see through it? What nation on this planet has done more for the rest of the world than the US? And what have we received for it? Sure we have done some dumb things too, but you do realize that the middle east would be speaking german but for the US and Britain. And the whole Isreali conflict, does anyone truly believe that having Hamas as the government is the way to end that mess. Obama wants Isreal to negotiate with a group whose sole stated pourpose is to wipe Isreal off the map and is backed by Iran who is trying to build nuclear weapons. And the leaders of Palestine have said in the past, we can sign papers all day long to obtain what we really want, they mean nothing because we are fighting for Allah. But lets talk to them man to man. It is a joke.

The world is a very dangerous place. I understand we should try diplomatic angles first, but when it fails we need to be willing to go to the next step. Sometimes you have to understand that talking to someone who only understands the point of a gun is senseless. Islam wants to be taken as a peaceful religion, its leaders need to be much more forceful in displaying it. And to be honest, saying they fear for their life if they speak out is no excuse. How many died to found this country for what they believed in. Why should we give anyone else a pass?

And as for your last comment about Palin, does that mean because you can't spell all of Florida cant or that because Bill Clinton lied through his teeth in sworn testimony we all should or because Obama made a million promise ( ie no lobbists in my administration) and broken them we can all say what you want to hear and then do what we want. Get off the high horse.
