Or the death of it as we all know it. They will go in house and hourly wage. And it will not be 28 an hour either. This is coming in all industries. The IRS wants employees not 1099 contractors. Look at the cases being brought in both cable and satellite. If you take one mistep with the employer-contractor rule book, the company will get slammed. And if you think the rates are bad now, when the prime is saddled with all of the costs unloaded on you, do you think you are going to get a raise? Until you can get a direct contract with a MSO or a Sat provider, you are a drone. They won't let you get ahead. Changes are a comin' though, that I assure you of.
