Re: I-beam clamp NEC approved??

In the NEC 2008 section 800 covers the telecom world. My earlier post is for network powered equipment ie lnb powered by a converter box. Basically it is tellingg you to ground to the common electric ground where ever possible. If not possible, you can ground to the metal frame of the trailer using a UL listed clamp and if you can verify the frame is grounded. And the middle one listed is chip's post is not. It is a lashing wire clamp not a ground terminal. Either the box it comes in or better yet the clamp itself will have a UL listing number. And be careful here, you can be found liable if there is a problem and it is traced back to a grounding mistake on your work. You may warrant the work to the prime for one year, but the homeowner has no contract with you and any good lawyer will look to you and your insurance policy. I have seen it with an installer who worked for me.
