I was training a new ground hand and needed him to throw me the rope while I was on the pole. He kept throwing the rope at my feet and I was getting rather frustrated.
I told him to throw me the dang blasted rope!! He told me he did not want to "hit me." I told him to aim between the eyes, if he hits me it is my fault.
Some time later I was training him to be a line man, and now he was training his grunt. (Who kept throwing the rope at "his" feet.) I heard him tell his grunt, "Aim between the eyes, if I miss it is my fault."
One day I was working as his ground hand and needed to throw him the rope, well he missed it and guess what?
Yep, right between the eyes. Had to take him to the hospital to get 8 stitches, (then to the bar for a Mikes Hard Lemonaide)
Told him I felt bad, but you couldn't say it was bad throw!!!
HEADACHE!!!!! (True story)
