i started in construction in 1988 we were getting 14cents afoot 4 cable,12cent aft 4 strand.when i got layed off this year in march we were getting 13cent a foot for fibre,9 cent 4 strand.what happensd to the prices is simple,the primes dont want any in house employees anymore so they take their half of the money out 1st.then the subs come n & take their half out,which leaves us inhouse employees to get whats left.xample-prime gets 1$ a ft,take50cent,paysub50cent,sub takes60% whats left 15cent or so 4 a crew of 3 to split 3 ways
