Oh a lineman story. Has to be the time we replaced a pole with a rotten butt in a back yard. After we placed the pole, (we as in phone company owned it) Power did their thing, we did ours, and along came CATV contractor. Once they attacthed to the new pole they start to climb the old one for some dumb reason.
I remind them that the reason we are all here is the butt is rotten and the pole is not safe to climb. As if the red tag on it was not enough I guess. I think he said I didn't know shit or shut the f up, and climbs it anyways Well, once the kid knocks the messenger loose, there goes the pole. To this day, when ever I think of this I remember the look of horror on that kids face as he and the pole crashed to the ground, AND LAUGH MY ASS OFF.
