I know some of the big wigs at JP&D and they lost all of their markets to Directv except for the Houston area, which the office is located out of La Porte. When Premier communications filed for bankruptcy a year ago, Directv gave them some of their markets. JP&D started out in Houston, Albuquerque, New Orleans. They acquired OKC, Tulsa, Lawton, Durant, Lubbock, and Amarillo from Premier. A week before the transition in Durant occured, JP&D raised the chargeback of service within 90 to $55. In my opinion, they did this to make money at the last minute since DTV was cutting some of their markets, but no one knows for sure.
