Works anywhere you get internet. I am in Bermuda with a US. number and it works great. I have a great internet connection and dont have any problems.
Once in awhile you get a bad connection and you have to hang up and dial again but I am sure that is with any phone service.
I would not use anything else. Nice having a local number for my family to call and it works wherever I go. Voicemail, caller id, all the usual stuff.
It is somewhat of a pain with the laptop but if you get a simple computer hooked to your router and hook the majic jack to it it really is not a problem leaving it on. You can pick up a desktop for cheap. Heck I got one here you can have just come get it.
