I have worked in both cable and sat. I have always had to buy my drop supplies. The cable company provided it when i was contracting for them. The reason sat guys stay is, doing cable I made at least 7 stops a day (not counting outside only) and averaged 1150 a week. Doing sat I make 3 maybe 4 stops a day and make a average of 1800 a week as long as the person you are working for can read a map and knows how to tell time. If you are getting your supplies give to you then you per job pay is low. The materiels are not expensive if you buy direct from the distributor and not from who you are working for cause they make a profit of haveing it there for you. These are contractor figures by the way.
