Re: Is this guy getting too much power?

Notice they are all looking for ways to take more and more money from us instead on less and a smaller government. This is a big problem. And for a group who is for the little guy, who do you think is going to be the vast majority of gamblers on these sites, Bill Gates or Joe Six Pack? This will take its vast majority of money from the middle and lowe classes. And now all of the states that already have gambling are going to take a hit, so what happens to the states?

This exposes an all too well known fact. The federal government has plenty of revenue to do what it is supposed to be doing. But when you spend like a drunken village idiot, you run into problems. You want to fix the deficit, stop spending. It is really not that difficult to figure out. The federal government is constitutionally only supposed to be a big picture type, defense, treaties and disputes between states etc. They are not supposed to be into the minutia they are in now. The states are supposed to handle everything else. Why send money to DC in the first place through one giant beauracracy (irs) only to have another one send it back to your state beauracracy? All they are doing is trying to hide the money trail.

States should have to 'compete' like anyone else. If you charge too much and do not provide a quality service, people will not patronize you. With how they do it now, they bury the spending in a room full of filing cabinets. No one can follow it all.

Also watch what these guys are doing with the auto companies. There are trying to interfere with basic contract law, bondholders get paid first in bankruptcies, but these clowns want you to give a higher position to the unions now. They are messing with things that will have deep repercussions and they don't have a clue. Watch yourselves.
