Yes can agree about the hacks,but they have in most cases done it to them selfs.That is DTV and DISH,when you go looking for cheap help, you get cheap work.Their are also guy's out there doing a good job and in most cases no one could give a shit less,just like their are a lot of guy's out there that could and know how to do a good job,but have stepped out of it and moved on to something else.I personally did the same.Just stepped back in it a little bit to help a buddy out with a influx of at&t installs,have retrained several guy's for them and in most cases they were never trained properly,it wasn't because they were trying to cut corners,they didn't know what they were doing.Several had to be let go because they were cutting corners and knew better.Just standing back and looking at the industry as a whole,can't help what I see,at least from my perspective and or opinion.
