Ok here's the story of my 9hr install, DTV
4 box install, with exsisting wires, hddvr, dvr and 2 standards. First hooke up the recvrs, and toned cables, No tone on speaker, pulled wall plates and found the twist on radio shack connectors, Keep in mind that this was a new construction home. Changed all conn at wall plates, Located and marked all lines.
Used SWM set up to avoid 2nd lines. peaked and fine tuned with Birdog on the 101. While setting up recvrs, i got 0's on transponders 1-21, cheked all connections and lines, this appeared to be a voltage problem, replaced every thing twice, ran newline from LNB, even ran a test line straight to a recvr, still the same problem, Called all the dtv tech gods and no help was found.
Now i got the problem solved and i will reveal the cause, but i want to know has this happened to anyone else, and what do u think the problem was.
