Agreed, but with one caveat. Congress is more important than the president in changing the direction of the country. We need to focus on that. A president cannot make new laws by him or herself. Congress has to write and pass them first. Also all spending originates in congress too. Fix congress, start removing the extremists and lifers from there, bring in some new people with new ideas and views and hopefully we really can start to fix things. It is the only mechanism we have at our disposal, and I intend to use it fully. Don't forget, the dems took control of both chambers because republicans were screwing up in a big way, not because they were presenting new ideas. It is time to look at people like Ron Paul and Bob Barr. We really do need a new direction in this country and dems and rep are not it.
