Re: Looking for any Nacom cable dawgs

I worked out of SO Cal for Nacom in the early 80's for Gary Summers as a Foreman doing UG installs. When work got tight I was contacted by Al Star and was asked to go do Construction in Uniontown,PA. I slept in my car for a week in the parking lot as it seems Al didn't let anyone know I was coming up and he went on vacation and no one could get a hold of him. Hubie was good to me loaned me some dough to get by for a week. Many nights were spent at Sails Inn drinking till all hours. I don't know if Jerry worked out of the Columbus office, but he was the one we were told to contact for payroll, we were told he was in the Ohio office. Evans did show up in PA a few times and when we went to Columbus he was definitly there but would not confront us. I recently heard about Hubies death and some kind of story that went along with it. Don't know if it's true or not but, yes he was a good man.
