The real bad ass was the dual overhead cam Ford 427 that they outlawed on the drag strip..426 Hemi's were getting blown away and the NHRA couldn't classify the OH Ford , so they outlawed it..kinda chickenshit I think..but if you have one now, the engine is worth around 30k to 40 k...very few made..but a real screaming motor..I saw one run in a Mustang in San Antonio back in 65..turned a 9.50 stock..wish I had one now..got a Jeep Wrangler for it..wouldnt that be a bitch..:) :)
