Wouldn't the persons in the military just be relocated? They are federal not state. Even National guard is federal and not state isn't it? Or did I miss a point you were trying to make on that last?
But still there are a lot of federal dollars that would not be allocated so I wonder if Texas would really want to go that route. And would they be under federal protection if the southern border decided they wanted Texas back? And then invaded and took it? hmmmm
