That's why I got out of Telecom contracting years ago. Back in the day we used to make some pretty good $$$, but then they went to the "master contractor" monopoly and it was down hill from there. In a matter of years they went from taking 10% to 35% when I bailed. They also started all these additional requirements (beyond T&T) at YOUR expence.
I finally said f-it and went to inhouse CATV. Now it's just as bad or worse.
Telecommunications is a volatile business inundated with greedy swindlers.
