$71,297 ... That's a 1099 number alright.

If you would please .... Break that down for us and subtract out:  Federal Taxes, State Taxes (inc. licences, bond, Lib.Ins), Soc.Sec. Taxes + Matching, Equipment expenses (truck maint., gas, insurance, registration) and let us know what's left over.  Then divide what's left over by 3120 (total hours in a year @ 60hr/week) and let us know the Hourly rate $71,297 equals.
