My guess would be you copied and pasted from somewhere and in the process the line was lost due to the different character sets. The original probably used a different character encoding than standard UTF-8/ASCII in the post. Maybe it was in another language originally? Copy and paste the same thing into a plain text editor like Notepad and you'll get the same result.
How about this post where it appears you linked to a temporary file from a Yahoo mail account. You probably saw it fine since your browser cached it, but no one else can.
Maybe you should get some of that tinfoil from the brik.
