Nothing compares to hands on training, there are however classes offered by BICSI/CFOT at community colleges and online, they are recognized world wide as an accredited fiber optic training provider. On another note I used to own a fiber splicing company, I have trained employees, as well as hired certified fiber splicers, my personal preference is to train my own people, again hands on in the real world is my opinion of the best training, certification is a plus.
