Lineman or installer, it doesn't matter, we are all cable jockeys. Done them both for many years. Sure line work can be hard and dangerous running up poles all day pulling whatever through trees or across anything and everything. You also have your gravy day's with miles of drive off. Installing is not much different. Instead of dealing with trees and water, try pulling some line in a million dollar house in which the attic is bigger than most modest homes, two feet deep of powder white insulation with little to grab on to 20 feet above a hard marble floor. Oh yeah, lets not forget about dealing with the customers, a entirely different peril to face. Either way, they both have their good and bad and one cannot survive without the other. The FNG will always get picked on, its a part of life.
