Working as contractor in Charlotte

I am possibly going to start as a contractor installing cable for metro-tech systems in Charlotte. I have doen cable before, but never as a contractor. Anyone know about this company, or how much can be made? I have never been a contractor. I have worked for mastec doing DTV.
