Although I have not posted much on the bar in the last few years I have decided to now. After 25 years I wave goodbye to this industry, shoveling manure would be a step up. On leaving there are a few phrases that have gotten on my nerves, to the point that I would probably go poastal if I hear them again, so here are few to get started and I am sure there are others as well...
1 )Hey it will be a feather in your cap! Means work I am not getting paid for.
2)Hey I saw your last check... means Check-fed taxes-local taxes-gas expense-hotel-food-vehicle expense-insurances-home expenses = broke
3) The customer want us to do this, it only takes a few extra minutes... This extra work = more extra work = more time =more work, less money....yeah right, but hey this leads back to phrase number 1 right?
4) The checks in the mail..... no comment
There are a lot more I am sure, but good luck to those who are still out there busting their a@#$S's , I wish you well.
Phrase I won't miss.....
