Of course there are black lists, we all have them, and its all word of mouth, I can't count the times I've been contacted from a person enquiring about a company, a contractor or an individuals standing hell we have one right here, check most the posts on "Companies" Now is it legal? Hell no but slander is a hard crime to prove in a court of law, an opinion is just that, but sadly given by a vindictive prick who's worked his way up to a position with a little pull can ruin the reputation of a good man. Negativity is a poison never forgotten no matter how groundless or absurd.
