As long as you think of it as interim employment, and don't think of it as a job to take you to retirement. Also, you would want to be comfortable being structured as an employee as opposed to 1099 status. I can count on one hand the amount of people that have retired from a cable MSO. It seems their position is always eliminated before they get to that point.
