As I stated, they have axed some very knowledgable people and kept less experienced and "not so smart" folk, so I don't think the're necessarily targeting "slackers" so much as targeting the higher paid staff and those up in age who might now have more medical issues than others.
Bottom line, the message is this - don't plan on making a career with Time Warner Cable
As soon as you start making good wages, acummulating lot's of vacation time and hit that risky health age you become a liability for the company. It's not just TWC though, it's most all large corps.
Don't really know what the powers that be are thinking, but the local staffs basically feel disenfranchised and have all adopted a don't give a $&%! attitude. Why go the extra mile when your reward is a let go for your efforts?
