A friend of mine who works in construction for them said, the latest round of cuts here in Wisconsin were the "non-producers" and "slackers". In my opinion it makes good business sense to cut the dead weight. You know the kind of guys I'm talking about, the ones that are just waiting for retirement and doing just enough to not get notices or in trouble. We had a term for that in the Army "Going ROAD" Retired On Active Duty! and the Army would get rid of them as well.
I hate to see people lose their job, but at least let it be the ones who don't do $hit.
