True Yet put into context. In 2002 bush expanded and allowed fannie may and Freddie mac to allow security back mortgages. with no regulations or controls . thus the up evil of today . When banks bought and sold mortgages before 2002 there was a regulation and no security backed loan which investers were easily conceived . not so as bush thought as I believe he was trying to make things better for all but it ran amuck and It didn't surface until late Sept. 2008 . not a bush or a democratic person realized what was going on . if blame is to be given its Bush who opened the flood gates . andwhen it was too late he just did what bush always did whether it be katrina the iraqui war or a bailout He just wrote checks .
